Information

The Kunene River Lodge is sited on the banks of the Kunene River, 50 km west of Ruacana Falls, and 100km east of the Epupa Falls and is one of Namibia’s best-known adventure lodges. The Lodge nestles beneath a beautiful canopy of indigenous trees and forms an excellent gateway to the northwest of the rugged and beautiful Kaokoland region.
Enjoy stunning sunsets over the Kunene Valley, raging white water action, or simply enjoy waking up to the twittering of birds.

Accommodation consists of luxury air-conditioned bungalows with twin double beds and en suite facilities, rustic chalets and beautifully positioned campsites beneath the Jackal berry and Leadwood trees.

The Lodge also offers a restaurant, bar with deck overlooking the Kunene River pool, and much more.

As well as exceptional accommodation, Kunene River Lodge offers an impressive range of outdoor activities. As one of the few lodges in Namibia to offer white water rafting expeditions, Kunene River Lodge boasts an impressive in-house rafting operation complete with APA (African Paddlers Association) trained guides and top quality rafting equipment. Established in 1996, our in-house rafting operation employs guides on a permanent basis enabling us to handle small or large rafting groups with the necessary care and expertise to ensure guests enjoy an exciting and exhilarating rafting adventure.
