Conservancy Safaris Namibia
Conservancy Safaris Namibia offers an experience of a lifetime into Namibia’s remotest wild areas: so much more than a safari – an authentic journey for the soul.
Desert adapted wildlife, cultural, conservation, hiking, photography, geology, team building, family groups with children. Enjoy a comfortable mobile camping experience, with a backup team and a chef, seamlessly blending wild camping in unforgettable landscapes and a few nights in an unusual little lodge, Etaambura Camp.
Run by a skilled local team, CSN is owned by 4 000 Himba people, through their five conservancies. Thus, by traveling with CSN you are directly contributing to both conservation and rural development – the best of both worlds: a top-class safari into a remote, spectacular part of north-west Namibia where you will be welcomed as guests, not merely tourists, by the community owners of the company.
The experience is authentic, intimate and inclusive. We don’t do luxury but your showers will be warm, your beer cold and there will be ice and lemon in your gin and tonics! Because we are local, we know where the rain has fallen. Stay on the main tourist routes and you will miss most of our wildlife, whose numbers are slowly rebuilding after a seven-year drought.
Each expedition is custom designed to suit the interests and passions of the party. Itineraries are kept flexible, enabling your experienced guide to take advantage of local information, weather conditions and conservation activities: this is an expedition, not a pre-arranged safari. We can do short trips of four or five nights but recommend at least ten to 12 nights, or longer.
